The Peters-Robison AFS Metalcasting Library has further cemented its status as the world’s largest and most comprehensive metalcasting library, recently expanding its digital collection to over 18,000 articles.

The American Foundry Society (AFS), North America’s largest and most influential professional society and trade association, today announced the location for the next three trade shows. Grand Rapids, Cleveland and St. Louis to Host $50 Billion Metalcasting Industry.

AFS announced that contracting for three new projects as part of the Aluminum Casting Performance Initiative FY2024 funding package has been finalized. These projects will provide a critical step towards improving reliability and quality of aluminum casting methods.

The American Foundry Society (AFS), North America’s largest metalcasting association, today announced that past AFS President Denny Dotson will receive the Jozef Suchy Medal from the World Foundry Organization. It will be presented by Jose Javier Gonzalez of the WFO at the annual banquet on April 13 during CastExpo2025 at Atlanta.

At the 2025 CastExpo in Atlanta, five distinguished leaders will be honored by the American Foundry Society (AFS) for their outstanding contributions to the metalcasting industry. The Peter L. Simpson Gold Medal and William H. The American Foundry Society, North America’s largest metalcasting trade association, welcomes 13 new Corporate Members who have recently joined the organization. AFS Corporate Members are comprised of metalcasters across all alloys and processes, industry suppliers, and casting designers and purchasers who support the association’s three-part mission of advocacy, education, and innovation for the foundry industry.

AFS improved member-only community platform, Casting Connection, went live on October 8.
