Senior Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications - Hybrid Job

This position leads the full array of marketing and communications initiatives for the nation’s largest metalcasting trade and professional society.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Advance the AFS mission through timely and creative communications via a full spectrum of communications channels.
  • Serve as staff liaison to the AFS Marketing Division.
  • Supervise assigned staff and secure collaboration from staff colleagues and volunteers as needed.

Director of Magazine Operations & Senior Editor

Description:
This position is ideal for a talented communicator with a flair for creativity and teamwork. This person will be responsible for oversight of the planning, content, and production of AFS’s award-winning magazines and digital magazine products that are “required reading” in the $50 billion metalcasting industry. The position will have regular writing and editing responsibilities for the organization’s various magazines. Special emphasis will be placed on the development and maintenance of the magazine websites and magazine-related digital communications. All content will include pro-manufacturing assumptions with frequent promotion of American Foundry Society members and the value of participation in the American Foundry Society.

Administrative Assistant (Hybrid)

Description: 
This exciting and rewarding part-time (25-30 hours weekly) position assists the Marketing & Business Development Division with the administration of AFS’s two award-winning magazines, including advertiser fulfilment, database management, and membership retention. Special emphasis for this position will be placed on the support, development and maintenance of advertising promotions, the advertising production flow for the magazines, and the continued development of marketing products offered to customers. The ability to communicate effectively by telephone and e-mail is essential. All with the convenience of a hybrid work format and a part-time work schedule. Assistant Director of Training Solutions

Description:

This position delivers on the business objectives of the Institute by providing high-quality customer service, performing sales outreach, fostering customer attraction and retention, coordinating course activity, and leading the Foundry eLearning program.  The Institute is the education and training arm of the American Foundry Society, where the Assistant Director of Training Solutions plays a key role.
