Safety and Environmental Achievements Honored at the 2026 EHS Conference

The American Foundry Society recognized 16 metalcasting facilities for outstanding safety and environmental performance at its 38th annual Environmental, Health and Safety Conference, held October 6-8 in Louisville, KY. The awards celebrated foundries and their teams that are leading the way by protecting workers and reducing environmental impact.

Two foundries received a 2026 Green Foundry Award. Grede Castings–Browntown (Browntown, WI) earned the award for energy conservation in melt, and Hiler Industries (La Porte, IN) was honored for innovation in beneficial reuse. The Green Foundry Awards recognize metalcasters whose environmental practices set an example for the industry.
