SCHAUMBURG, IL - The AFS standards committee has approved an AFS Standard on Standard Practices for Use of Printed Sand in Casting Production. This standard, prepared by the AFS additive manufacturing committee, is part of the AFS Standards Initiative.

New Appointments to the AFS Technical Council:
Schaumburg, IL - Congratulations to Scott Giese (UNI) and Curtis Veit (Waupaca), who were selected to join the AFS Technical Council next April. Both Giese and Veit will serve two-year terms as Members-At-Large. AFS would like to thank and congratulate Andy Bain (Ford Meter Box) and Tedd Sheets (Betz Industries) on the completion of their 2-year Members-At-Large term on the Technical Council.
SCHAUMBURG, IL - AFS has released the 5th edition of the “Health & Safety Guides” with technical updates to 17 of the 68 chapters, one new chapter, and new full-color illustrations throughout to address new Federal OSHA regulations and improved information on hazards and best management practices for foundries.
