AFS is proud to announce the release of the much-anticipated AFS Transactions 2023, Vol. 131, a comprehensive compilation of cutting-edge metalcasting research unveiled at the 127th Metalcasting Congress in Cleveland.

The Peters-Robison AFS Metalcasting Library further solidified its position as the largest of its kind in the world when it recently expanded its digital collection to more than 17,000 articles. 

The International Journal of Metalcasting, a peer-reviewed research journal published by the American Foundry Society in partnership with Springer Nature Publications, is proudly celebrating its fifth consecutive year of increasing Impact Factor growth.

The latest discoveries in metalcasting research are highlighted in AFS Transactions, Vol. 130, released this month by the American Foundry Society.

The American Foundry Society’s peer-reviewed research journal continues to grow in stature and influence. For the fourth consecutive year, International Journal of Metalcasting (IJMC) improved its Impact Factor, growing 25% from 2020 to 2021.

AFS is is seeking paper and presentation proposals related to all areas of metalcasting, including technical and management subjects.

Casting Alloy Data Search, commonly referred to as CADS, is a tool to assist design and foundry engineers by providing comprehensive cast alloy engineering properties and pedigree information.

For the third consecutive year, the International Journal of Metalcasting has grown in worldwide influence. AFS’ peer-reviewed technical and research journal saw its Impact Factor grow 34% from 2019 to 2020.

AFS has welcomed a new member and announced a new chair for its Research Board, which oversees AFS’s substantial research program.

International Journal of Metalcasting and Editor-in-Chief Tom Prucha performed in the top 10% of all qualifying journals based on Springer Nature’s Journal Author Satisfaction survey, the publisher recently announced.
