Prucha Earns Prestigious Springer Nature Editor of Distinction Award

Thomas Prucha, Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Metalcasting (IJMC) has been honored through the Springer Nature Editor of Distinction Awards with the Editorial Contribution Award for his outstanding contributions to the journal in 2025. 


The Springer Nature Editorial Contribution Award is given to editors whose journals place in the top 20% for manuscripts sent to peer review, highlighting the careful evaluation of submissions and strength of the peer review process. The journal also performed in the top 25% of journals based on data collected from the 2025 Journal Author Satisfaction Survey.

The International Journal of Metalcasting is a bi-monthly journal covering the latest developments in metalcasting focused research, technology, and manufacturing advancements. IJMC is published in affiliation with the American Foundry Society.
