Schaumburg, IL - Congratulations to Scott Giese (UNI) and Curtis Veit (Waupaca), who were selected to join the AFS Technical Council next April. Both Giese and Veit will serve two-year terms as Members-At-Large. AFS would like to thank and congratulate Andy Bain (Ford Meter Box) and Tedd Sheets (Betz Industries) on the completion of their 2-year Members-At-Large term on the Technical Council.
AFS would also like to congratulate Eric Nelson (Eric Nelson Consulting LLC), who was selected for a 5-year term on the Research Board, while thanking and congratulating Kathy Hayrynen (Aalberts Surface Technologies), who will complete her 5-year term on the Research Board this April.
The Technical Council oversees divisional activities while fulfilling the roles of the Honorary Lectures & Papers (HLP) Committee, among other activities. The Research Board oversees the selection of AFS-funded research projects, the Simpson Fellowship Endowment Grants, and the FEF/IJMC Student Casting Competition, among other activities.
