SCHAUMBURG, IL - The American Foundry Society, North America’s largest metalcasting organization, today announced a revision to its Board-leadership succession plan.
The change was made following the resignation of Sara Joyce, who had been 2nd Vice President, from the Society’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Joyce has recently retired from Badger Mining.

SCHAUMBURG, IL – The American Foundry Society is accepting entries for the 2027 Casting Source Casting Competition. This competition gives participants the chance to show the engineering and purchasing community what a metal casting can accomplish. The 2027 winners will be showcased at Metalcasting Congress 2027 in Cleveland, OH taking place April 20-22 and in issues of Modern Casting and Casting Source.
SCHAUMBURG, IL – The American Foundry Society has multiple webinars planned for Q4 of 2026. Ranging from technical to government, members are encouraged to take advantage of these free webinars to enhance their understanding of current trends happening in the foundry industry. There are currently five webinars planned for the last part of the year.
