AFS Safe Year Award applications due June 1

Safety is the priority of every metalcaster at every level of production. The AFS Safe Year Award, an annual accolade from the American Foundry Society, recognizes member facilities which have achieved stellar safety records.

Corporate Members have until June 1, 2018, to submit their applications for the AFS Safe Year Award, which honors Corporate Members for achieving one year without a lost-time incident in their facilities. All applications must be for a 365 consecutive-day period starting after January 1, 2017, and achieving the one-year, incident-free period at a single location before May 31, 2018.

The awards will be presented Oct. 10 at the 30th AFS Environmental Health and Safety Conference at the Cleveland Marriott East in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.
