AFS Peters-Robison Library Surpasses 19,000 Listings

The AFS Peters-Robison Metalcasting Library continues to grow as the world’s largest and most comprehensive metalcasting library, recently surpassing 19,000 listings in its digital collection. This milestone reflects AFS’s ongoing commitment to preserving and expanding access to valuable technical knowledge for the metalcasting industry.

The extensive collection features technical content from key AFS publications, including AFS Transactions, Modern Casting, Casting Source, and AFS conference proceedings. Spanning developments from the 19th century to the present day, the library provides valuable information on a wide range of metalcasting processes, technologies, and advancements. Available exclusively to AFS members, this resource supports innovation, process improvement, and technical problem-solving throughout the casting process. Members can access the library by visiting AFSinc.org/library.

AFS members can also access the library through the Liberty Link app, allowing them to search by author, title, keyword, and other criteria. The My Catalog feature enables users to save listings for quick and convenient retrieval. To help members take full advantage of these resources, tutorials covering the Liberty Link app, My Catalog, and library search functions are available on the library home page. ***Please note that members may have to re-link and re-log back into the app, with their library QR code after app updates.***

Members can also utilize the AFS Library Advanced AI Search tool to navigate and quickly find relevant articles based on their specific needs. This search feature reduces search time and ensures that members can access critical information faster than before. To help get the most out of the tool, step-by-step instructions and search tutorials can be found through AFS OnLive.
