Iron metalcasters will go well beyond the basics of cupola operation during the 2022 Advanced Cupola Concepts Workshop, Sept. 27-28 in Tell City, Indiana.
Presented by the American Foundry Society, this interactive workshop will teach cupola operators how to reduce variations and improve the consistency and quality of their iron melts. The two-day event will include presentations from leading experts in the field who will provide in-depth knowledge and understanding of every aspect of successfully operating a cupola.
This workshop is ideal for metalcasters with some experience in cupola melting, or who need to expand their understanding of this process.
The Advanced Cupola Concepts Workshop includes a tour of Waupaca Foundry’s Tell City plant. Additionally, all conference attendees are invited to the AFS Cupola Melting Committee meeting following the conference on Sept. 29, regardless of committee membership.
