Lodge to Host 2022 Future Leaders of Metalcasting Meeting in October

Young metalcasting professionals will build their skills at an immersive networking event in one of the metalcasting industry’s most iconic locations: South Pittsburg, Tennessee, home of Lodge Manufacturing Co.

Hosted by AFS’s Future Leaders of Metalcasting group, the 2022 FLM Meeting runs Oct. 10-12 and includes a tour of Lodge’s cast iron foundry and the new Lodge Cast Iron Museum, slated to open in summer 2022.

The event kicks off on Monday with a meet-and-greet mixer, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet with other rising industry professionals in a fun social environment.

Tuesday will feature a presentation from Dr. Scott Morrell of Rebar Leadership, who will share how attendees can leverage their emotional intelligence to build a strong board of directors and network strategically. A tour of Lodge’s foundry and a visit to the museum and store will follow, ending with a networking dinner at STIR restaurant where the first ever Sinto AFS-FLM Educational Scholarship winner will be announced.

On the final day, attendees will head to a local school to take part in the Foundry-In-a-Box activity with students.

Future Leaders of Metalcasting is AFS’s group for foundry professionals who are 20 to 45 years old and who are on, or who aspire to be on, a leadership track in their careers.

Registration and hotel reservations are available now. AFS members pay just $225 to register. The non-member price is $450.
