The American Foundry Society today announced that the four top priorities for the June 11-12 Government Affairs Fly-In in Washington, D.C., are as follows:

  • Invest in water infrastructure
  • Strengthen “Buy American” provisions when taxpayer funds are used
  • Pass the Transit Infrastructure Vehicle Security Act
  • Modernize our nation’s education system

AFS is encouraging every member company to participate in the Fly-In, which includes a day of issues briefings, a lunch presentation by former Counselor to the President Karl Rove, a reception at the prestigious Capitol Hill Club, and advocacy meetings with lawmakers and staff that are pre-scheduled by AFS based on state and congressional district.
