Milwaukee, Columbus to hold North America’s largest metalcasting events

The American Foundry Society, a dynamic trade and professional association serving the $33 billion metalcasting industry, has chosen Milwaukee and Columbus as host cities for Metalcasting Congress 2021 and CastExpo 2022, respectively.

Milwaukee will host the 125th Metalcasting Congress in 2021, with more than 2,000 metalcasters, casting buyers, and industry suppliers expected to attend. The event will be April 13-15, 2021, at the Wisconsin Center District. Milwaukee last hosted the show in 2017. Columbus will host CastExpo, which will attract more than 6,000 visitors from around the world and more than 450 exhibitors, April 23-26, 2022, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Columbus last hosted an AFS trade show in 2015.

“With Atlanta set to host CastExpo 2019 and Cleveland slated to host the 2020 Metalcasting Congress, we now have premiere locations scheduled out several years,” said AFS CEO Doug Kurkul. “These host cities all provide exemplary exhibit facilities, excellent host hotels, and convenient travel options.”

Established in 1896, Metalcasting Congress is AFS’ annual meeting and industry showcase. It includes exhibits from foundries and suppliers, technical and management presentations and classes, keynote speakers, and awards for leaders and innovators in metalcasting.

CastExpo is a global metalcasting trade show and one of the industry’s most highly anticipated events. Held every three years, it attracts more than 6,000 attendees and hundreds of exhibitors displaying the latest equipment and advancements in foundry technology. Metalcasting Congress runs concurrently with CastExpo 2022.

Last year, AFS announced Cleveland as host of the 124th Metalcasting Congress, April 21-23, 2020. Registration for CastExpo 2019, April 27-30 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, is now open. For more information or to register, click here
