We enter the work force knowing how to read and write and have often educated ourselves in a field of expertise. However, too often, we lack the skills to manage our emotions when the temperature rises, or when we are placed under pressure. We need tools that help us mange, adapt and communicate effectively with maximum impact. Understanding emotional intelligence (EQ) is key. The second part of our session will deal with an innovative and proactive career development strategy to build a personal board of directors. The framework extends beyond a reliance on the traditional networking efforts. Where networking is transactional and episodic, a personal board of directors works for you, advises you and has your best interests in mind.

This workshop develops knowledge on emotional intelligence and its power to improve your personal and professional life, and strengthen the quality of relationships and will equip participants with the knowledge, skills and abilities to build a personal board of directors.
