AFS Library Advanced AI Search Reaches Major Usage Milestone

SCHAUMBURG, IL - The American Foundry Society (AFS) continues to enhance access to technical knowledge through use of the AFS Library Advanced AI Search tool, which has recently surpassed 60,000 citations provided to users and more than 400 AFS members utilizing the platform. These milestones highlight the growing adoption of AI-powered research tools and AFS’ on-going commitment to providing innovative resources that support the Metalcasting industry.

The AFS Library Advance AI Search tool allows members to quickly locate relevant technical articles and research within the extensive Peters-Robison AFS Metalcasting Library. By identifying and providing citations to relevant publications based on user inquiries, the tool streamlines the research process and helps members access valuable information more efficiently.

With the Peters-Robison AFS Metalcasting Library now containing more than 19,000 listings, the AI-powered search tool provides an additional resource for navigating the extensive collection. Members can explore technical information from key AFS publications, including AFS Transactions, Modern Casting, Casting Source, and AFS conference proceedings, covering a wide range of metalcasting processes, technologies, and industry advancements.

AFS would like to thank AFS Corporate Member, Elkem for sponsoring and continued support of the tool.
