SCHAUMBURG, IL – The American Foundry Society will present the AFS Congressional Champion Award to Rep. Greg Murphy of North Carolina’s 3rd District on June 10 during a reception at the Capitol Hill Club in Washington, D.C.

“Congressman Murphy is an energetic advocate for commonsense economic policies,” said Doug Kurkul, CEO of the American Foundry Society. “Metalcasters applaud and appreciate his strong support for robust economic growth, as well as much-needed investments in national defense and a renewed focus on ship-building.”

Topics will include tax reform, energy reliability, trade enforcement, regulatory modernization, and workforce development. Registration for the event is open, and the Hotel Washington room block remains open until May 14.
