AFS Announces 2024 Board of Directors Nominees

The American Foundry Society, North America's largest professional and technical association for the metalcasting sector, has announced the nominees for its Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 term. Together, the nominees bring tremendous expertise and wisdom to the Board of Directors.

John Lancaster, Plant Director at General Motors, has been nominated for the position of AFS 2nd Vice President. He previously served on the AFS Board from 2019 through 2023.

  • Susan Bear, Chief Technology Officer (Grede Castings);
  • Bob Braun, President-Foundry (Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry Co.);
  • Kelley Kerns, Director of New Business Development (HA International); and
  • Paul Leonard, President (RLM Industries).

The American Foundry Society is a dynamic technical and advocacy organization that serves and represents the $50 billion metalcasting industry. AFS is the only association serving the entire industry, including all metals and processes, with a three-part focus on advocacy, education, and innovation. AFS also publishes Modern Casting and Casting Source magazines and presents Metalcasting Congress and CastExpo, the largest metalcasting trade events in North America.
