AFS Issues Revised Economic Forecasts for Casting Sales

A new report from the American Foundry Society includes updated estimates for U.S. metalcasting sales in 2021 and beyond.

The AFS 2021 Mid-Year Forecast & Trends revises previous estimates for casting sales originally released in January. AFS compiles two economic forecasts per year to help metalcasters benchmark their performance and plan for the future.

Among the many metrics and data points compiled in AFS Forecasts are industry revenue, producer price indices, manufacturing sector growth, operating expenses, payroll per employee, sales per facility, and plant utilization.

Each report is created by economic analysts utilizing historical trends, industry dynamics, econometrics, and macroeconomic trends. Core data is sourced from comprehensive business surveys from the Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and other government agencies.

AFS Forecast & Trends is a member benefit provided at no charge to all AFS Corporate Members.  Others may purchase the report, priced at $1,000 for non-members, from the AFS Store.
