The Advanced Casting Research Center is moving to the University of California-Irvine. ACRC, of which AFS is a member and supporter, conducts critical research into casting technologies and processes. Through ACRC, AFS participates in several research programs of direct relevance to foundries.
ACRC is in the process of building a foundry, and purchasing equipment for labs, material processing, and testing at UC-Irvine. Currently, ACRC is located at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
