New AFS Student Chapter launches at Worcester Polytechnic

The American Foundry Society is pleased to announce Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Worcester, Massachusetts) has established an AFS Student Chapter.

Worcester Polytechnic joins 40 other colleges and universities in hosting its own chapter. The AFS Board of Directors approved the school’s application on Jan. 25.

AFS Student Chapters operate on campuses throughout North America. Run by students under the guidance of faculty and industrial advisors and supported by AFS, Student Chapter members further their metalcasting skills by networking with peers and professionals, manufacturing castings, conducting outreach, competing in casting competitions, and more.
