Georgia Southern University Creates AFS Student Chapter

The American Foundry Society is proud to welcome Georgia Southern University (Statesboro, Georgia) as the newest school to establish an AFS Student Chapter on campus. The AFS Board of Directors approved Georgia Southern’s application on Aug. 15, making it the 40th college or university to host its own chapter.

AFS Student Chapters operate on campuses throughout North America. Run by students under the guidance of faculty and industrial advisors and supported by AFS, Student Chapter members further their metalcasting skills by networking with peers and professionals, manufacturing castings, conducting outreach, competing in casting competitions, and more.
