Advanced Foundry Environmental Air Seminar: Become your foundry’s go-to resource

Every foundry needs a go-to resource on air emissions. Gaining that expertise isn’t easy, though.

There is one place metalcasters can become authorities on air emissions: the AFS Advanced Foundry Environmental Air Seminar, Oct. 7-8 in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, near Cleveland.

This is “the only seminar focused solely on air regulations and their solutions in the foundry environment,” said Craig Schmeisser, a member of the AFS EHS Division.

The seminar is for people who understand the basics of EPA air regulations and emissions calculations, but who want to tackle more complex air issues in foundries. It covers four topics: emission estimation, permitting, regulatory requirements, and compliance demonstration.

“Attendees will take away information and materials they can immediately put to use,” Schmeisser said.
