OEMs want metalcasters with additive manufacturing capabilities

Casting buyers are demanding additive capabilities from their metalcasters—and proactive foundries are responding to that call. With additive manufacturing changing the way customers are designing and sourcing their components, it’s crucial not to get left behind.

The 2018 AFS Additive Manufacturing for Metalcasting Conference will explore all aspects of additive manufacturing in foundries. As America’s premier conference on the use of 3D printing in the metalcasting industry, metalcasters who are experienced with additive manufacturing and those who are just starting out will gain insights, guidance, and a deeper understanding of how this tech revolution is transforming metalcasting.

Topics to be covered include equipment and maintenance, processes, materials, case studies, practical applications, and design. The conference includes a tour of the University of Louisville Rapid Prototyping Center and UL’s Additive Manufacturing Competency Center.

The 2018 AFS Additive Manufacturing for Metalcasting Conference is Sept. 10-13 in Louisville, KY. Hotel rooms must be reserved by Aug. 19. For more information and to register, please click here.
