Here we grow!

Foundries, their suppliers and service partners have been joining AFS as Corporate Members at a record rate, with 53 signing on since September 2017. The reasons for joining are as diverse as the companies themselves, but they generally fall into a few different categories. Here are some of the reasons given for becoming Corporate Members of AFS:

Advocacy: “We really value what AFS is doing in Washington on behalf of the metalcasting industry, which is almost identical to what we’ve been doing on our own. Being a part of the AFS Government Affairs program amplifies our voice and gives us additional insight into the opportunities and threats on the horizon.” – Amsted Group

Marketing: “Joining AFS elevates our profile in the foundry industry and gives us discounts on Metalcasting Congress and CastExpo, which offset the membership investment.”  – Hygieneering Inc.

Workforce development: “We had multiple individual memberships in AFS and were at the point it made sense to become a Corporate Member, which allowed all of our employees access to AFS workforce development solutions.” Quality Electric Steel Castings

Training and education: “We are looking forward to using the e-Learning modules for training and development. We’ll also be sending some team members to AFS for classroom courses as well.” – Quality Electric Steel Castings

Industry stewardship: “Joining AFS is the right thing to do. Between the committees, research, and advocacy, we felt like it’s an investment in our industry.” – Spuncast Inc.

Economic efficiency: “Our company had several individual memberships with AFS. So, we decided to become a Corporate Member, which saved money, streamlined billing, and allowed all of our employees access to AFS discounts and information.” – Wabash Castings
