Fritz Winter holds ribbon-cutting event in Kentucky

Fritz Winter held a ribbon-cutting event at its iron casting facility in Franklin, Kentucky.

“After a construction time of not even one year, the first products rolled off the production line. This is a performance we can be really proud of,” said Jörg Rumikewitz, CEO, Fritz Winter.

The company invested $110 million initially into the project and that could grow to almost $200 million with an expected expansion. The project could eventually add more than 300 jobs to the area.

“After we have supplied the American market from Germany for more than 50 years now, the first foundry in the USA is an important milestone of our globalization strategy,” said Ulf M. Kranz, CFO, Fritz Winter.
