According to a report from the Topeka Capital-Journal, Topeka Foundry & Iron Works (Topeka, Kansas) was purchased in January by Haas Metal Engineering (Topeka, Kansas).
The purchase was effective Jan. 1.
The report said TFI will do business under its name. According to the Capital-Journal, the companies will collaborate on steel fabrication in an effort to enhance production.
“We believe the acquisition will magnify the strengths of both companies, allowing us to better achieve success together, than what we can do apart,” Jon Haas, owner, HME Inc., said according to the report.
