Polich Tallix (Rock Tavern, New York) received tax assistance to move its facility to Walden, New York.

According to a report from the Times Herald-Record, Tallix, a bronze art caster which manufactures the Oscar statuettes, is planning to renovate a 60,000-sq. ft. facility in Walden. Polich agreed to buy the building, a structure that used to be home of a circus, for $2.5 million.

The Industrial Development Agency (IDA) granted a $20,300 state sales tax exemption, and also exemptions for a mortgage recording tax ($13,000) and property taxes ($312,504).

Polich Tallix has 80 full-time employees and, according to the report, is expecting to add 13 more over the next five years.
