Tennessee Company Expanding, Expected to Add 20 Positions

Tennessee Tool & Engineering Inc., Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is adding 10,000 sq.-ft. of manufacturing space and is expected to create 20 jobs. The addition is to the company’s diecasting division.

According to a news release, Tennessee Tool & Engineering will have almost 90,000 sq. ft. of space.

“I was born and raised in this community and live in Oak Ridge,” said Greg Palmer, vice president and operations manager, Tennessee Tool & Engineering. “We want to do all we can to continue the positive growth in our community.”

Tennessee Tool & Engineering produces aluminum casting components.

Per a release, the growth comes from a $5 million investment in Oak Ridge and Anderson County, Tennessee. More expansion is planned for 2018 at another location.

“The expansion will allow for three more 700-ton cast presses along with secondary machining equipment to meet the growing demand for the company’s products for the automotive and ATV industries,” Palmer said.
