Federal actions regarding the environmental harm and subsequent regulation of greenhouse gases have been numerous and undergone several changes. State-level actions regarding greenhouse gas emissions have been mainly limited to California.
Depending on foundry size, one regulation that remains is the annual Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP) codified in 40 CFR Part 98.
AFS provided comments and support for a one-year extension to the applicability of the reporting rule to industrial waste landfills as well as corrected errors and requested clarification with the reporting methodologies (see link below).
