2026 Safety 101 Seminar

AFS Headquarters
May 12 – 13, 2026

Overview

Step into the foundry with confidence. AFS Safety 101 is a hands‑on workshop designed for new safety professionals, supervisors, managers, and anyone responsible for protecting workers in a foundry environment. Over two interactive days, participants will “walk the line” through the entire casting process, learning to identify key hazards, apply practical controls, and build a strong foundation in molten metal safety, silica exposure, ergonomics, machine guarding, LOTO, emergency preparedness, and more. Through real‑world case studies, photo-based hazard spotting, process mapping, and targeted exercises, attendees gain the essential skills needed to make immediate safety improvements in their facilities. Whether you are new to the industry or stepping into a safety leadership role, this workshop provides the tools, confidence, and clarity to keep your people safe from day one.

AFS Safety 101: Where new safety leaders learn to see the foundry, and its hazards, clearly.
