Future Leaders of Metalcasting Meeting Held in Cedar Falls, Iowa

On Oct. 14 & 15 at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI), the Future Leaders of Metalcasting gathered for their annual fall meeting. This meeting featured a presentation on Additive Manufacturing by Jerry Thiel, UNI, and a roundtable discussion on North American metalcaster profitability strategies led by Christof Heisser of Magma Foundry Technologies.
The program also included a tour of the John Deere Waterloo Foundry, a roundtable discussion on North American metalcasting survival strategies, a tour of the University of Northern Iowa Metalcasting Center, and a foundry in a box demonstration at Waterloo’s East High School.
