Coming in June: Best Practices in Aluminum by Geoffrey Sigworth

AFS is publishing a new reference guide, Best Practices in Aluminum Metalcasting, set for release in the AFS store this June.
The new 296-page book will be a reference guide focusing on all of the important scientific mechanisms behind aluminum metalcasting. Respected industry expert Geoffrey Sigworth has compiled a lifetime of experience in both the academic and practical worlds of metalcasting into this book. It will be an invaluable resource for producing consistent high-quality aluminum castings. More than 60 technical papers and six Excel-based calculators are contained within the CD-ROM included with the publication (a total value of almost $2,000) to assist with sprue calculations, furnace energy models and more.
The book is organized into five sections:

• Fundamentals of solidification.
• Solidification and mold design.
• Post solidification processing.
