Omaha Steel Castings Opens New Plant
October 11, 2013
Omaha Steel Castings Company has completed its move to Wahoo, Neb. State and local dignitaries were on hand as Owner Phil Teggart cut the ribbon on the new facility, which broke ground in 2012. The plant was open to the public for tours, to educate the local community about the work being done there.
The $17 million facility has 100,000 sq. ft. of production space and 30,000 sq. ft. for pattern storage. Both it and the existing facility in Omaha, Neb., will continue to operate until the new plant is fully up and running. Molding, melting and pouring started in August and the anticipated completion target is December.
Omaha Steel Castings produces high quality steel and stainless steel castings for a wide variety of markets.
