Michigan Metalcasting Facility Damaged in Fire

A fire recently caused reportedly $2.5 million in damage to the Holland Alloys metalcasting facility in Holland Township, Mich. The company was founded in 1975 to supply tool shop Holland Pattern with pattern castings, and it grew into a provider of iron and steel sand castings for a variety of industries.
Fire chief Jim Kohsel told The Holland Sentinel cardboard, wood and plastic inside the building caused the fire to spread very quickly. No one was reported injured.
