Decisions are being made by President Obama and the 113th Congress that directly impact your facilities and your customers. Your active participation is vital to educate the Congress on issues of importance to our industry.
With the Senate up for grabs in this year’s election, the AFS Government Affairs Conference provides you the opportunity to engage with your member of Congress, administration officials and policy experts on key industry issues.
This year’s program will provide an in-depth overview of:
- A Look at the Obama Administration, Congress and Election 2014: featuring Tucker Carlson
- OSHA Proposed Regulations – Crystalline Silica, Recordkeeping Rule
- EPA’s New Power Plant Rules and upcoming Ozone Rule
- Need for Renewal of R&D Tax Credit, Section 179 and Bonus Depreciation
- Infrastructure Investment
Following a day of briefings on key industry issues, participants will receive training on how to effectively communicate with Congressional offices, enjoy a reception in the Capitol building, and spend the day meeting with U.S. Senators, Representatives, and their staffs. AFS’ government affairs staff will handle scheduling and provide everything attendees need for their Congressional appointments.
