Goldens’ Foundry Commits to Education

Goldens’ Foundry and Machine Co., Columbus, Ga., committed itself to education this summer through its Partners in Education (PIE) relationships.
The metalcaster hosted an overview of how technology plays a part in the overall growth of the facility and gave a plant tour for students of the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) summer camp. The STEM program intends to ensure quality science, technology, engineering and math education at all levels and represents all sectors of the technological workforce. The engineering group at Goldens’ also has worked with its local PIE school, Northside High School, Columbus, Ga., on the school’s upcoming robotics competition.
Goldens’ Foundry & Machine Co. is a ductile and gray iron casting facility serving various industries including construction, farm equipment and heavy duty trucks.
