Ohio Diecaster Adds 40 Jobs During Expansion

Apex Aluminum Die Casting, Piqua, Ohio, has announced plans to hire 40 new employees during its transition to a 24-hour work day beginning Jan. 1, 2016. Currently employing 120, the metalcaster has seen demand spike and is recruiting for shop floor, supervisor and quality assurance positions.
In addition to the expansion in its workforce, Apex Aluminum is planning a $500,000 investment to expand its 100,000-sq.-ft. Piqua facility and a machining operation in nearby Troy, Ohio.
Apex Aluminum produces castings up to 18 lbs. for a variety of industries including heavy truck, electrical and industrial markets.
