Last Call for 115th Metalcasting Congress Papers |
|
AFS is issuing a last call for papers for the 115th Metalcasting Congress to be held April 5-8, 2011, at the Renaissance Hotels & Resorts, Schaumburg, Ill. All papers must be relevant to the metalcasting industry, covering topics such as operations, new technologies, procedures, processes, and must contribute to the enhancement of metalcasting quality and productivity. Complete Manuscripts are due Sept. 15.
In addition to the call for metalcasting papers, submission is open to technical papers for the new Casting Design & Purchasing sessions. Papers will cover all areas related to metal casting design and purchasing, including how to design, process and material basics, process and material advancements, computer-based modeling and simulation, rapid prototyping, casting conversions, identifying suppliers and supply chain management.
The Casting Design & Purchasing sessions are being held in conjunction with the Cast in North America pavilion during the 115th Metalcasting Congress. This area of the show will provide an invaluable opportunity for metalcasters (foundries and diecasters) to exhibit their capabilities to their customers—buyers and designers—from across the globe.
Paper number assignment, offer and abstract form, authors guide and paper templates are available on the AFS Metalcasting Congress website at papers.afsinc.org.
Sponsored by AFS, the metalcasting congress is the largest annual gathering for metalcasters in North America. For more information on submitting a paper to the 115th Metalcasting Congress, contact Steve Robison, AFS senior technical director, at 800/537-4237 ext. 227 or
