What Does the New OSHA Mean for the U.S. Metalcasting Industry? Find Out at Conference
With the most active U.S. Congress and Administration in decades, the challenges facing the metalcasting industry are real. It is imperative that you attend this year’s Metalcasters Alliance for Government Affairs Conference. Cosponsored by AFS and NADCA, the event will be held May 5-7, 2010 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel, Washington, D.C.

Hear from top policymakers and lawmakers on the regulations and legislation that mean the most to your facility, including economic recovery, climate change, tax policy, safety and health issues, access to credit and what the new OSHA means to the U.S. metalcasting industry. Following a day of briefings on key issues, you will spend the second day of the conference meeting on Capitol Hill face-to-face with your U.S. Senators and Representatives to discuss the impact pending laws will have on your business. In addition, a half-day session on day three will include an in-depth overview of a series of pressing regulatory matters, such as:

  • EPA ramping up its efforts to address climate change, toxic chemicals, and air and water quality;
  • Complying with the provisions of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act;
  • OSHA’s development of comprehensive regulations on combustible dust and crystalline silica and
    potentially ergonomics.

It is vital that YOU are involved in the discussion in our nation’s Capital. It’s your time to take a stand as lawmakers and administration officials need to hear your point of view.

Why You Need to Attend...

  • Gain insights on upcoming legislation rule makings;
  • Advance pro-manufacturing legislation on Capital Hill to spur economic growth;
  • Learn about expansions in workplace and environmental law;
  • Meet with your elected representatives in pre-arranged meetings;
  • Network with other concerned metalcasters.
