|
In December, individuals from 32 companies including two AFS Corporate Members joined U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Cathy Zoi at the Capitol Visitor Center in Washington, D.C., to mark the launch of the Industrial Technologies Program Save Energy Now LEADER initiative. At the event, the 32 LEADER Companies signed a voluntary pledge to reduce their industrial energy intensity by 25% over the next 10 years. The companies were recognized for their examples of leadership by being the first to partner with DOE in the new initiative, committing to aggressive energy intensity reduction goals and a clean energy future.
The AFS Corporate Members at the event were Neenah Foundry and ThyssenKrupp Waupaca. For more infomation on this event, contact Tom Prucha, AFS vice president of technology, at
