IJMC Provides World Class Research, Technology at Affordable Price
Since the inaugural issue in fall 2007 the International Journal of Metalcasting has provided quality, peer-reviewed metalcasting research and technology to the global metalcasting industry. Now, we can also say that it is an incredible bargain as well.

The 2009 Study of Subscription Prices for Scholarly Journals charts subscription price and yearly price increases for scholarly journal published by professional Societies in various fields. Published by industry leader in journal publication, Allen Press, the document summarizes historical prices of approximately 250 publications. According to this study, the average subscription price of a peer-reviewed journal in 2009 was $701.10, an increase from $613.93 in 2007. U. S. Society Journals have increased in price an average of 7.4% annually since 1989. The average price increase for peer-reviewed journal was 5.9% and 7.9% respectively in 2008 and 2009.

The IJMC provides the very best in international metalcasting research and technology. All papers have been approved through a very intense peer-review process that sees about a 20% rejection rate and many other papers substantially modified and improved prior to publication based on the peer-review process. At a $99 subscription price for (unchanged since it’s inception in 2007) AFS has often said that IJMC is the best deal in town. Now, it appears that we have evidence.
