Hundreds of Metalcasters Socially Networking |
Hundreds of metalcasters are connecting via the internet’s social networks. AFS has many arenas for the industry to network, including its Foundry and Diecaster Network and Metal Casting Design and Purchasing neworks on Linked-In, AFS, MODERN CASTING and Metal Casting Design & Purchasing networks on Facebook and AFS and MODERN CASTING networks on Twitter.
Recent numbers indicate that the AFS sponsored Foundry and Diecaster Network on Linked-In is the most utilized with 700 members, while the Metal Casting Design and Purchasing group currently has 325. AS for Facebook, the AFS, MODERN CASTING and Metal Casting Design and Purchasing groups collectively have 618 members.
In related news, the AFS Keystone chapter also has created a Facebook group to stay connected, while the AFS Piedmont chapter is networking via Twitter.
