AFS is the metalcasting industry's primary voice in Washington, D.C., representing the industry's interests to Congress, the White House and federal regulatory agencies.  The AFS Government Affairs Committee establishes priorities for the association with input from its individual members, as well as the AFS Technical Committees. Issues concerning the environment, safety and health, with a particular emphasis on small manufacturers, have a high priority.

Member involvement is vital to the success of our grassroots lobbying activities. We encourage you to establish regular contact with your state's congressional delegation about important issues affecting the foundry industry. Invite them to your plant sites.
