AFS Technical Committees offer the opportunity for individuals to contribute knowledge and shape the future of the metalcasting industry through research initiatives, education, conference and publication development and marketing programs. AFS Committees also offer a chance to network with metalcasting personnel from across the world. Experience has shown that the members that put in the time and effort to make a difference improve their own capabilities and grow professionally. AFS committees typically meet three or four times each year, usually at the AFS headquarters in Schaumburg, IL (Chicago area) but also at plant sites throughout the U.S. Committee involvement is open to any metalcasting industry professional (who is an AFS individual member) willing to give time and effort back into his industry.
