ACIPCO Ensures Worker Health |

By participating in the workplace-based initiative Health and Productivity Management (HPM), AFS corporate member American Cast Iron Pipe Co. (ACIPCO), Birmingham, Ala., has discovered ways to ensure the health of its employees and reduce healthcare costs. Rebecca Kelly, wellness coordinator for ACIPCO, is an instructor for HPM Bootcamp, a series of intensive training sessions Nov. 14-16 at the Marriott's Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa. Her company has shown that managing the early stages of diabetes not only costs 50% less than managing the acute stages, but also has slowed the onset and prevalence of diabetes at ACIPCO.
