Marketing and Selling of Castings Conference |

The 2008 Marketing and Selling of Castings Conference was held July 31-Aug. 1 at the Westin O’Hare, Rosemont, Ill. Attendees flocked to the conference in record numbers as more than 160 sought methods of improving sales and marketing strategies for their metalcasting facilities.
Five casting buyers from CAT, Haas Automation, Cummins, FMC Technologies and Siemens spoke at the event, as well as 10 other experts on marketing for manufacturers. Topics included:
- "Increase Your Profits by Meeting Your Customers Silent Demand," Dan McQuiston, Butler Univ.;
- "Utilizing Electronic Tools to Automate Casting Sales & Marketing," Wayne Braun and Jim Clifford, AmeriCast Technologies Inc.;
- "Making the Most of Your Sales Reps," Rick Betori, Wonderlic;
- "Developing Your Brand Identity," Tim Daro, Bernard & Co.
