On April 14-17, AFS participated in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) World Congress and Exposition, Detroit. The SAE Congress and tradeshow is considered the world’s premier automotive technology event and draws more than 35,000 representatives from the aerospace, automobile, commercial vehicle and motorsports industries.

AFS’s exhibit booth featured casting competition winners from the last few years, as well as information about the metalcasting process, educational opportunities, and casting design and sourcing assistance available at AFS. 

 “The SAE World Congress and Exposition gives us the opportunity to keep metalcasting in front of casting buyer.  Often, these end-users are lost when trying to find casting sources.  What metal is needed?  What process is good for my part?  How do I find a good casting supplier? We are a face-to-face resource for them in a time of need,” said Alfred Spada, AFS director of marketing, communications and PR.
