AFS Announces 10% By 2010 Membership Drive |

In its mission to be the leader of the global metalcasting industry, the American Foundry Society (AFS) has announced its drive to promote a 10% increase in membership by 2010. The campaign was introduced during the annual Chapter Officers Conference on Aug. 17 by AFS Executive Vice President Jerry Call. AFS will be sponsoring competitions during the membership drive to see who can bring in the most new individual members. The stage is set for three separate year-long Member vs. Member and Chapter vs. Chapter competitions. The winning AFS Member and Chapter will receive $1,000, and the second place member and chapter will receive $750.
