AFS Launches New Websites |

The American Foundry Society (AFS) transitioned to its new websites on Friday, August 3, 2007, with a dynamic change in appearance, navigation and overall design. The website address will remain www.afsinc.org. The Cast Metals Institute (www.castmetals.com), MODERN CASTING magazine (www.moderncasting.com) and Engineering Casting Solutions magazine (www.castsolutions.com) websites also were updated. Enhancements to the new websites include: - Improved Navigation - web pages work in intuitive and consistent ways, making it easier for visitors to find what they are looking for and know where they are within the web site;
- Improved Look and Feel - enhanced graphics and the new page layouts provide visitors with an improved user experience;
- New Features - include important membership information, improved organization of the various sections and departments, poll questions and much more.
While the appearance and organization of the websites are enhanced, the information located on the original websites is available via the new addresses. Existing bookmarks will be redirected to the new home page or the exact location of the new page.
